Paid for what it is really worth.
Ferrous metal (iron and steel) is the largest volume of scrap produced by construction, fabrication and industrial sites in the UAE. Most buyers price it only by weight. We check first whether it can be used again.
New or lightly used structural sections, plate and coil, especially with mill certificates, can often be resold as material. That is worth more to you than its melt value. Material that cannot be reused is graded and recycled, and you still get a fair price for the weight.

Examples of what we buy
Typical ferrous scrap metal of the kind we value and collect.

Ferrous Scrap Metal we purchase
Heavy melting scrap (HMS)
Thick steel offcuts, beams, plate and prepared ferrous scrap.
Structural steel
I-beams, H-beams, channels, angles and hollow sections, new or reclaimed.
Flat rolled products
Hot and cold rolled coil, sheet, strip and chequer plate.
Steel plate
Mild steel and high-strength plate, full sheets and offcuts.
Rebar & mesh
Surplus reinforcement bar, cut-offs and welded mesh.
Cast iron
Machine bases, pump housings, manhole covers and castings.
Bar stock
Round, square and flat bar in carbon and alloy steel.
Light iron & mixed ferrous
Sheet metal, racking, cabinets, fencing and mixed steel.
Demolition & dismantling steel
Steel recovered from sheds, structures and plant removal.
Not on the list? If it is surplus and has value, ask us. We probably buy it.
What affects the price
No two lots are the same. These are the factors we look at when valuing ferrous scrap metal.
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Reusable vs. melt | Straight, clean, certifiable sections can be resold as steel, which is worth more than scrap weight. |
| Grade & thickness | Heavy, thick material (HMS 1) is worth more per tonne than light, thin or mixed iron. |
| Contamination | Concrete, timber, rubber, oil or non-metal attachments reduce value or need removing. |
| Size & preparation | Material already cut to a manageable size costs less to handle, which lifts the offer. |
| Market price | Ferrous scrap follows global steel demand, so offers track the market on the day. |
| Volume & access | Larger volumes and easy crane or truck access lower collection cost per tonne. |
What to send us
The more we know up front, the sharper the first figure. Rough numbers are fine.
- Approximate tonnage, or dimensions and counts for sections and plate
- Photos showing the whole pile plus close-ups of section sizes or markings
- Mill test certificates, if you have them for new or surplus steel
- Site access details: crane, forklift or truck access and working hours
Four simple steps
- Inquiry: send photos, a list or quantities by the quote form, phone or email.
- Valuation: we reply with an indication, typically within 12 hours, and visit the site to confirm where needed.
- Payment: agree the figure and get paid quickly, with no drawn-out terms.
- Pickup: our team loads and removes the material anywhere in the Emirates.
Ferrous Scrap Metal: common questions
How is the price for ferrous scrap set?
We price ferrous scrap by grade and weight against the current market, then adjust for contamination, preparation and collection cost. Usable steel such as beams, plate and coil is priced on resale value where that is higher.
Do you cut and dismantle steel on site?
Tell us what needs cutting or dismantling when you send the enquiry. We will confirm whether our team can handle it and plan the equipment needed for the collection.
Do you buy mixed steel with other metals attached?
Yes. Mixed material is fine, but separating stainless, copper, brass or aluminium from ordinary steel usually gets you a better overall price, because those metals are worth more on their own.
Can you collect from a construction or demolition site?
Yes. We collect from active sites, yards and warehouses across the UAE. Let us know about any site access rules, permits or safety inductions in advance.
